Richmond Marks New Jobs Program for Youth

Richmond Mayor Gayle McLaughlin will honor the Richmond Youth
Corps, a new jobs program for youth, Friday.
The program provides part-time work for Richmond residents
ages 17 to 24 for five months at various city departments.
Jobs include landscaping, computer-related tasks and work with
the city's public access television station.
Participants will get a completion certificate and, whenever
possible, be hired permanently in their departments. All also
will be given help with job searches.
Friday's event is scheduled from 4 to 5 p.m. ¿outside¿ [sic]
City Hall, 450 Civic Center Plaza, Richmond.
